Stephen Walker is a warm and engaging speaker and is an experienced event host. An award winning broadcaster and author he was worked for the BBC since 1989.
He is currently a Political Correspondent with BBC Northern Ireland. Over the past three decades he has been a television and radio reporter, a documentary maker and a correspondent at Westminster and Stormont.
He has made numerous current affairs and historical documentaries. His journalism has been honoured by the Royal Television Society and the Irish Film and Television Academy.
In 2006 he was named the Northern Ireland Journalist of the Year.
He has covered all the major political stories of recent years including the twists and turns of Brexit, numerous elections and the Good Friday Agreement.

Outside of news and current affairs Stephen has a love of sport, books and history.
He is the author of three critically acclaimed books. His first book Forgotten Soldiers: The Irishmen Shot at Dawn was shortlisted for the Irish Book Awards in 2008.
In 2011 he wrote Hide and Seek which told the story of Monsignor Hugh O’Flaherty who defied the Nazi command in Rome during the Second World War.
In 2015 Ireland’s Call was published which chronicled the stories of Irish sportsmen killed in the Great War.
