William Caulfield, best known to Northern Ireland audiences for his one man theatre show Our Jimmy - a tribute to James Young, has emerged as one of the funniest and most laid back comedians in Ireland today. His home grown style of humour and his professional approach to entertaining has endeared him to audiences all over the country.
Always a performer at heart, when he was employed as a car salesman, the showroom would be full of laughter as he entertained not only his fellow staff but the customers as well.
In 1990, William started to write comedy monologues in the style of his hero James Young for the radio and thus began his transition from selling cars to stand up comedy. Radio audiences could not get enough of him, so in 1998 he took the plunge and embarked on his full time professional career as an entertainer.
Radio and TV is just a small part of what William does and over the last seven years he has become one of NI’s best loved Pantomime stars in both Belfast and Londonderry.
As well as hosting various award ceremonies, in the corporate entertainment field he is a very busy after dinner speaker and is much sought after throughout Ireland and the UK.
This year will also see him star in his own TV show for BBC NI and also the production of a comedy play that he has written.

William was born in Lurgan, Co Armagh and now lives in Bangor.
Hobbies/Interests
Away from show business, William’s interests are flying model helicopters and following F1 motor racing.
