Wendy Austin is a leading broadcaster in Northern Ireland and the UK. She's been wakening Northern Ireland up on Good Morning Ulster for the BBC for many years, with her grasp of news, current affairs, business and politics ensuring that she asks the questions listeners want to have answered. She also works regularly for BBC Radio 4 and anchored many shows such as PM and the Exchange.
Wendy is well known for her involvement in conferences and awards ceremonies for many diverse organisations here, in the Republic of Ireland, and across the water - including the European Forum for Quality Management, Intertrade Ireland, PSNI and the Garda Siochana, and the Bank of England, to name a few.

In 2005 she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Letters by the University of Ulster for her contribution to journalism. Wendy is a UK Trustee of Arts and Business and chairs the NI Committee.
Lives
Wendy lives in Co Down with her husband Frank Hewitt and their dog Sam.
Hobbies/Interests
She has a particular interest in the visual arts and enjoys walking, good red wine, Italy - and the occasional catnap!
