John Anderson’s Voices of Ireland is a new choral concept from John Anderson, one of Northern Ireland’s leading musicians and composers.

Featuring a group of young singers from across the Province, most of whom are also accomplished soloists and instrumentalists, John combines new and old songs, traditional, sacred and secular music with a whole new instrumental soundscape of new age, world and ethnic music. Familiar songs, known the world over, are re-interpreted for the modern age, with stunning choral arrangements creating haunting and evocative stage productions.

With a hugely successful musical career that began in his childhood, John Anderson has a real passion for every area of choral music.

During the 1980s the John Anderson Big Band was responsible for four number one  Jive Bunny hits worldwide and in the 1990s he brought the phenomenally-successful ‘School Choir of the Year’ from humble beginnings to an event which eventually attracted more than 10,000 young singers from across NI and became the biggest of its kind in Europe.

He has also composed, arranged and directed music for countless television and radio programmes.

More recently, the spectacular stage show, On Eagles Wing, which John wrote and composed, was broadcast on more than 400 hundred television stations in the USA and has recently been aired to great acclaim in Australia.
