  |
Nuala McKeever first came to public attention with the Hole In The Wall Gang, playing Emer in the first two series of their award winning telelvision comedy – Give My Head Peace.
When the chance was offered to have her own TV show, McKeever, on UTV, she took the leap and the result was a range of comedy characters that fast became household names: from social snob, Hillary Hamilton of Holywood to the sharp-tongued Mickey’s Ma.
In 2005 Nuala wrote and performed a one-woman comedy drama Out Of The Box, which premiered to rave reaction at the Belfast Festival and toured Northern Ireland the following year to great critical acclaim.
Besides performing and writing for radio, stage and television, she also offers tailor-made training to business and charitable organisations. Nuala’s highly sought after as an after dinner speaker and conference/awards ceremony MC in Belfast, Dublin and London.
She’s delighted to have been named NI’s Queen of Comedy – and even more delighted that she didn’t have to parade in a swimsuit to get the title!
Lives
Nuala is a native of Belfast having lived in the city all her life except for one year living in Spain.
Hobbies/Interests
Nuala is keen on gym and keeping fit. Her greatest achievement was running the Great North Run in 2006 – 13.1 miles from a woman who couldn’t run for more than 20 seconds four months previously. She speaks Spanish fairly fluently and also likes to dabble in woodwork, patchwork quilting and even plans to fulfil an ambition to learn dry stone walling.
