Alan Simpson: BBC Radio Ulster’s Alan Simpson is the voice and face of one of Northern Irelands most popular radio shows. Known as the "Hair on the Air" or "The Tallest Show on Radio"

Alan’s style is one of casual but informed chat whose knack of putting his guests at ease is one of his unique skills. His list of "chats”, as he prefers to call them rather than interviews, include many household names from Michael Parkinson, Spandau Ballet, Dolly Parton, Gloria Estefan, Duncan Bannytine, Heston Blumenthal, Mika, Rio Ferdinand to Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy. 

Alan is also the Duke of Edinburgh’s representative in Northern Ireland and along with working with the Duke presenting awards in Northern Ireland he has also presented awards with the Duke of Wessex at St James Palace in London.

Alan can also been seen compering many events including The N.I. Milk Cup Soccer Tournament,  The Portrush Raft Race, Northern Ireland Football Internationals, Dancing On Ice.

Large or small Alan brings his lively personality to the fore to make sure every event ends with a smile on its face!!
