Jonny Stevenson, 32, is from Lisburn, outside Belfast. As the runner-up of BBC TWO’s highly successful MasterChef series he was put through his paces by presenters John Torode and Gregg Wallace and participated in challenges as diverse as cooking at Michelin starred restaurants to preparing food for the British Army in field kitchens in the middle of the Belize Jungle.

Jonny is passionate about cooking and his ultimate goal is to own a restaurant. Jonny only started cooking in 2004 and has taught himself by reading classic French cookery books.

He is currently learning the tools of his trade in various restaurants in Northern Ireland to gain the knowledge required to run a successful restaurant.

He is a single father and combines his passion for cooking with looking after his two children aged 7 and 3.

Jonny is available for personal appearances, cooking demonstrations and media interviews.
